The Chuodho Women Group has good experience in climate change and renewable energy for livelihood and environmental conservation. It has been involved in the production of over 2000 energy saving jikos with successful impacts on its members. We support OVCs, and pre-primary and primary education. Women are involved through training, production, marketing, distribution, process and services, and delivery of products, such as cookstoves installation through organized women groups in the community. These organized women groups from various locations within the community have enabled women to work from the home (short distances) and scale their efforts in production, marketing, and distribution. The women's groups are well-trained in production and learn from experts in clean energy cookstoves. The organization has good relationships with the Ministry of Energy at the county and national levels in the area for capacity improvement.
Partnership
The organization has a pool of consultants from governmental and non-governmental institutions who provide technical expertise when the need arises. We have also partnered with the local business vendors in the County to who assist us in the marketing of our products. The organization is also open to other partnerships for this project that may promote these interventions, including marketing and distribution. In this project, the group will partner through community contributions of labour and local materials.
