Clean Cooking Activities

The Clean Cooking Association of Kenya (CCAK) is a not-for-profit, business membership organization with members from the private and public sectors. CCAK is the sector champion influencing an enabling policy and market environment, as well as developing the capacity of its members and other stakeholders, in supporting the transition to universal adoption of clean and efficient cooking solutions in Kenya. The Association works with both the national and county governments, the private sector, and development partners, and academia and research institutions, to foster the growth of the clean cooking sector. Since its formation in 2012, CCAK has championed and advocated for the adoption of clean cooking solutions, in addition to lobbying for a favorable enabling market environment for the clean cooking sector. The Association currently has a membership of 104 active registered members.

Partnership

As Kenya’s sector champion, CCAK brings to the table a decade-long track record of advocating for clean and efficient cooking solutions, engaging policymakers, supporting market actors, and building multi-stakeholder platforms that promote inclusive growth and innovation within the clean cooking space.

CCAK can serve as a regional hub for knowledge exchange, capacity building, and policy influence. Leveraging its deep-rooted relationships with both national and county governments, the private sector, academia, and development partners, the Association is well positioned to pilot and scale innovations, contribute to evidence-based policy development, and support localization of global frameworks to suit Kenya’s dynamic context.
