Clean Energy Access Network is a bottom-up, practitioner led, all India representative body to unify, grow and support the decentralized clean energy sector in India by working on issues of policy, financing, skills and technology standards in a renewable energy agnostic manner.

Clean Cooking Activities
CLEAN recognizes that clean energy access goes beyond addressing lighting and electricity needs to cover a host of applications like cooking, heating, chilling, pumping and so on and therefore contributes to positive outcomes in education, health and livelihood. It has an impact on the overall quality of life. Given the gender ratio of cookstove users, traditional burning of biofuels in mudstoves especially leads to worsened health and happiness outcomes for women across the developing world. It contributes to indoor air pollution and black carbon emissions. It is crucial to research, advocate and implement the use of clean cookstoves against this background. As a clean energy agnostic network, working with organizations focussed on cookstoves is within the mandate of CLEAN.
Partnership
CLEAN would like to partner with GACC on the work that they are doing with organizations in India in areas of common interest like researching best practices, developing quality testing standards and supporting scaling up of promising solutions.
