Clean Energy Development
Mission
Clean Energy Development specializes in the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). We have successfully aided in the implementation of 30,000 units of Domestic Biogas Digesters in China and are in the process of installing roughly 20,000 systems in Myanmar. In China, this has helped reduce the use of coal for cooking thus reducing carbon emissions and improving indoor air quality as well as decreasing the workload for women. Indoor pollution is the cause of various respiratory and eye diseases and contributes to approximately 1.6 million deaths annually. In addition, the system creates an effluent known as the bio-sludge that is an excellent fertilizer.

Clean Cooking Activities
As previously mentioned, we have aided in the installation of Domestic Biogas Digesters in China and are currently in the process of implementing the same systems in Myanmar. This system is applicable to poor farmers with livestock in rural areas. We deal with small scale project activities as defined by the UNFCC – approximately a minimum of 15,000 units are required for the project to be CDM worthy and contribute to the decrease of greenhouse gas emissions on a global level.
Partnership
If applicable and needed, Clean Energy Development would be interested in assisting The Alliance in the CDM process – from the registration until the issuance of the Certified Emission Reductions (CERs) – for the option of additional funding
