Climate Focus Network, a local non-profit making organization formed in 2008 based in Zambia, aims to lead the fight against climate change and make it easy and affordable for individuals, businesses and organizations.

Summary of Key Operations:
Promote programs that have potential benefits in terms of decreased GHG emissions for the benefit of local communities. Key campaigns include Climate Change Policy development and Review; Innovative Renewable Energy Programme; Waste Management Programme; Gender and Climate Change Programme; Negotiators Training Programme; Climate Smart Agriculture Programmes, Environmental Management awareness raising and training and Climate Information for All Programme.

Clean Cooking Activities
We have embarked on a project to introduce clean stoves in slums in the peri urban areas. Under this project we are working in partnership with the National Technology Business Center and the University of Zambia (TDAU). Last year in November we under took a trip to Durban to learn about the production of the green gel. The next phase is to look funds to start the project. The first phase is to develop a national action plan. This will be followed by implementation of the distribution of the clean stoves.
Partnership
We would like to exchange knowledge with others who are running similar projects. We hope to learn a lot about clean stoves from this.
