Clean Cooking Activities

With regards to the cooking conditions and facilities in Afghanistan's rural communities and the challenges Afghan women face, CSIO is working to design and distribute a very fuel efficient multi-tasking and multi-fuel cookstove for these communities. The Stove can be used for several task at the same time, while using the same energy. These stoves provide healthy cooking facilities in a very safe cooking situation. The stove can be used for preparing bread, cooking dishes, warming water to help women spend less time preparing bread and cooking dishes, and allow them to spend more time pursuing education, vocational activities for generating incomes and/or supporting their family and children.

Partnership

Cooperation for Social Improvement organization (CSIO) is a national non-profit NGO in Afghanistan which is mostly working as an implementing partner with other national and international organizations and institutions.
CSIO is interested to work with global alliance for clean cookstoves as an implementing partner where the organization can contribute to the design and distribution of fuel efficient, multi-tasking, and safe cookstoves that provide healthy food and bread for rural Afghan communities who are suffering from unhealthy cooking spaces. CSIO can promote the usage of alternative fuels that align with the economic situations of and accessibility to different fuel types for communities. All the above mentioned contributions and needs can be advanced with financial support from the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves and other national and international organizations.
