Retained heat cooker (consists of 2 polystyrene-filled cushions that insulate a cooking pot and retain the heat well enough to continue the cooking process after the pot has been removed from the stove or cooking fire)

Clean Cooking Activities

Retained Heat Cooker is currently distributed in Bangladesh. A pilot project in UNHCR already done & having good result. Current distribution in Bangladesh takes place through community initiatives, corporate CSI programmes, sales to individual consumers. We are planning to distribute 200 000 bag rollout in 2016 calendar year.

One Retained Heat cooker, used 3 times per week, can prevent 500kg of carbon emissions per year. Regular usage reduces the energy required for cooking by up to 50%, which means that women and children spend less time collecting fuel and households save money as they buy less cooking fuel

Partnership

We can contribute manufacturing skills as well as marketing and behavior change experience. We are also establishing relationships in several South Asian Countries which can be leveraged in support of the Alliance, Thus can help the global climate change
