Clean Cooking Activities

In Bangladesh, we do not usually maintain clean cooking systematically. Women cook, keep, wash, and service their family members through traditional means. It is still the case that women have primary responsibility for preparing meals for their families. Moreover, women and girls are typically responsible for securing fuel to cook the family meal. When they leave the safety of their communities to search for firewood and other traditional biomass fuels, they’re at increased risk of gender-based violence, particularly in conflict areas and rural areas. Furthermore, time spent collecting fuel is time not spent on income-generation, education or other activities. In fact, cooking has become one of the most dangerous daily activities for women in the developing world.
To help address these problems, Dynamic Youth Society is interested in supporting clean cooking initiatives of relevant working organizations.

Partnership

Dynamic Youth Society (DYS) is a learning organization. We work to provide necessary education, training, and awareness on clean cooking activities. Our work can also help reduce carbon emissions and the negative impact of climate change in our Bangladesh. These activities can be realized through partnerships and collaboration with relevant organizations.
