Clean Cooking Activities
In my country-Nigeria, 72% of women depends on fuel-wood for cooking their meals. This brings the total fuel-wood consumption to about 80 million cubic meters, making biomass fuel the most common source of household energy in Nigeria. This traditional cooking method using firewood, in addition to the deforestation of African forest, also pose a serious health challenge to women and children on their backs. Smokes coming from the wood is one the biggest killers of women and children in Africa. Our organization, Eco-Dress Environmental Advocacy Initiative is interested in advancing a sustainable alternative means of cooking meals-which we believe clean cookstoves can provide.
Partnership
Our organization intends to partner with yours in the area of networking on how to access grants for the provision of clean cookstoves at affordable prices based on carbon trading. Our organization would also like to partner with Global Alliance For Clean Cookstoves in the area of marketing your programs and products in Nigeria or in whichever you like us to partner with you
