Clean Cooking Activities
We are building a company that improves the lives of the poorest Mexican communities with the design, manufacturing and micro-consignment of Tekoli cookstoves, a TLUD model that is cheap, movable, durable, adapted to the consumer and produces biochar as a soil enhancer. The smokeless combustion principle of Tekoli cookstoves allows a cheaper installation price and mobility, while allowing women and children to avoid breathing harmful pollutants.
Eknis is also pushing towards the consolidation of agricultural waste briquettes and pellets as an alternative to the high costs of LP gas especially for semi-rural communities.
Please visit www.facebook.com/eknis for additional information and updates (in Spanish)
Partnership
Eknis would like to participate by networking with NGOs and companies that know the market of the poorest communities in Mexico to learn from their expertise in order to distribute and promote the use of our clean cookstoves.
Also, we would like to provide NGOs looking for the improvement of the quality of life in this communities by providing products with a safer, cleaner household energy alternative.
