ENERGIA is working with the Alliance to ENERGIA to implement its Women's Economic Empowerment (WEE) and energy access programme in Asia and Africa. The WEE programme works towards empowering women entrepreneurs to manufacture, sell, service and finance energy products. Through this programme and with an investment of 6.3 million dollars, ENERGIA will ensure access to modern energy services, including clean cooking solutions, for 2 million poor consumers. This implementation programme is complemented with a Gender and Energy Research Programme and global advocacy, aimed towards promoting WEE as a core strategy for expanding energy access.
