Clean Cooking Activities
Energy 4 Impact supports the development and growth of enterprises in the clean cooking sector in Africa (energy efficient, domestic and industrial cookstoves, biomass briquettes, biogas), while boosting the last mile distribution of energy efficient cooking products through a loan facility and market development activities.
Partnership
We work with Sida and ENERGIA to support micro and small producers and retailers of ICS and briquettes in East and West Africa. Through GACC's Spark Fund Project we supported Kenyan stove entrepreneurs to develop new biomass cookstove designs for domestic use offering improved performance. We have teamed up with The Adventure Project to increase the distribution of these stoves. In Uganda we have partnered with institutional cookstove producers providing certified high quality stoves to schools, 50 schools and financial institutions to increase the uptake of energy efficient cooking technologies across the country. We have also supported Fumbalive, the GACC’s national awareness raising campaign to influence consumers to adopt the use of cleaner cookstoves and fuels through increasing awareness on the benefits of cleaner cooking and access to improved cookstoves.
