Clean Cooking Activities

Our organization's interest resonated due to the advanced effects of climate change which is caused by man’s activities. Most especially is the pressure of man on the forest for fuel wood causing deforestation and carbon emissions affecting the general ecosystem. To reduce the pressure we introduce the clean cookstove (ecostove) project supported by UNDP and Delta State Ministry of Environment that uses less firewood burn 20% and save 80% for rural women. Also, our interest is to empower women on how to build capacity, design and manufacture the environmentally-friendly clean ecostove to generate funds and create alternative livelihood for them and as well protect the environment.We are set to intensify efforts to support and campaign for the protection of the general ecosystem with biasness to climate change through creating awareness on climate change mitigation and adaptation measures and mobilize the general public on the use of clean cookstove.

Partnership

My organization would like to participate in this partnership by building the capacity of the marginalized and vulnerable people on how to design, produce, manufacture, distribute and market the clean cookstove and also build their entrepreneurial skills and leadership.
