ECODAUGANDA is currently supporting locally based stove artisans through promotion and awareness campaigns. This it does through engaging the local leaders from district to local council 1 whose role is to sensitize the community about the effects of using the traditional 3 open fire stove and the opportunities of using an improved cookstove.
Stove dissemination is a continuous process to the trained artisans especially in the rural areas and many people are being convinced to adopt the improved technology. The technology targets women, children and the youth because they are mainly involved in cooking and fuelwood collection.
Partnership
ECODAUGANDA would like to share its experiences with other organizations engaged in the same activities and to also borrow ideas from others who have successfully implemented the stoves' activities.
