Clean Cooking Activities
Ethiopian Clean Cooking Alliance (ECCA) main goal is to promote and accelerate the adoption of clean and efficient cooking solutions across Ethiopia through coordination, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement. To achieve this, ECCA works closely with stove producers and distributors to enhance their ability to reach last-mile end users. The organization supports the production of high-quality, standardized cooking technologies and delivers capacity-building programs focused on business development, improved stove design, and market linkage strengthening. Additionally, ECCA plays a key role in facilitating proper household data registration and quality monitoring to support carbon credit projects.
Partnership
ECCA would like to participate in the partnership by serving as a market facilitator for clean cooking solutions, leveraging its national network of stove manufacturers, distributors, government and non-government organization. ECCA will contribute by identifying target communities, coordinating production and distribution, providing technical support in collaboration with MoWE, PEA, and GIZ, and ensuring product quality through national lab testing. To enhance affordability and uptake, ECCA will facilitate consumer financing, targeted subsidies, and Results-Based Financing (RBF). Additionally, ECCA will lead demand creation through awareness campaigns and provide post-sale support via trained technicians, service centers, and feedback mechanisms. Comprehensive data collection will support monitoring, reporting, and carbon credit validation.
