Clean Cooking Activities
Friendship Bridge currently serves more than 22,000 microcredit clients in Guatemala. Our signature program is called Microcredit Plus (small renewable loans and education) to help women start and expand small businesses. In addition to Microcredit Plus, we offer a special loan for the purchase of a clean burning stove. These stoves reduce smoke inhalation in the home, and reduce wood consumption by about 50 percent. Overall, the program lessens health risks and reduces expenditures for wood, which are about 30 percent the daily budget for most of our clients.
Partnership
We would like to participate by helping to expand our clean stove initiative throughout the regions we operate in Guatemala.
