Mission
Frontier Innovations' Mission is to facilitate projects that enable social entrepreneurs to succeed at last-mile marketing and distribution in developing countries. By testing new ideas, perfecting new systems, and sharing our findings and lessons with the development sector at large, FI intends to catalyze innovations, synergize policy makers with entrepreneurs, and advance global knowledge of best practice for delivering life-changing products to the people who need them most.®

Other Organizational Expertise
Founded by professionals with experience in last-mile distribution of clean-energy systems and rural marketing, FI brings with it expertise in best-practice for the sector. Our Founder, Ajaita Shah, brings with her over 5 years of experience as the CEO of Frontier Markets, a social business focused on rural marketing and distribution of clean-energy products, in addition to 3 years of experience working in the microfinance space. Mrs. Shah has received accolades such as Business Week's Top 30 entrepreneurs under 30, Scholarship winner at SOCAP and SOCAP Europe 2012, and is a 2012 Echoing Green Fellow.®

Frontier Innovations is dedicated toward helping entrepreneurs whose businesses are proliferating the use of clean-energy alternatives in rural areas of developing countries. Solar and clean-buring stoves are currently of most focus, however we will expand to focus on products for health, agriculture, and beyond.
Clean Cooking Activities
We are currently launching several pilot projects with our ground partner in India in the areas of 1) energy financing, 2) technological innovation, and 3) micro-franchise development. These pilot projects are intented to provide crucial insight to the sector so that social businesses engaged in last-mile distribution of clean-energy solutions can reach scale most efficiently to maximize social impact.

We would like this partnership to be an opportunity to share our findings with, and learn from, other like-minded individuals in the sector.
