Clean Cooking Activities

In partnership with the Alliance, Global Affairs Canada will seek to helps support a clean cooking program in Haiti that focuses on delivering measureable environmental benefits, including reduction in deforestation caused by tree harvesting for charcoal production, lessened land degradation, flooding, and erosion, reduced depletion of watershed and biodiversity, and lower emissions of greenhouse gases and short-lived climate pollutants.

Partnership

Global Affairs Canada is partnering with the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves to design a comprehensive, costed national five-year integrated clean cooking program in Haiti.
