Clean Cooking Activities

Domestic and industrial use of safe cooking methods and alternative approaches have become a necessary need in households/industrial use, especially with regards to socio-economic and health implications for women and children. Global Children Action Network, as a community gender-based organization, has a keen interest in strengthening women, girls, boys, and men's appreciation towards the promotion and use of clean cookstoves domestic use and potential benefit to reducing the effect of poverty through empowered participation in the distribution, marketing and standard monitoring; especially working through women as key strategic partners.

Partnership

Global Children Action Network seeks to partner to increase accessibility to and generate demand for safe clean cooking stoves and share knowledge on best and innovative practices through participatory research processes, field performance, quality monitoring, and feedback with communities and faith-based organizations. This includes ensuring effective evidence based progressive evaluation and building capacity to give women in project communities the needed voices to influence policy at the local, regional, and national levels.
