Green Energy Enterprise (GREET) Ltd

Mission

Green Energy Enterprise (GREET) Ltd was established as a social enterprise in
2015 in response to the energy shortage in Uganda. GREET works with
communities, schools, and businesses to scale up renewable energy generation
and put local power in the hands of local people. At the heart of GREET is
innovation. GREET targets youth who have dropped out of formal education and
teaches them to create innovative energy products. GREET is poised to start a revolution in the way energy is developed and utilized in Uganda.

Clean Cooking Activities

GREET is currently developing and deploying two technologies:
gasification technology and briquette technology. Alongside these is the development of clean cookstoves to utilize these technologies. Besides
innovation in energy, GREET offers consultancy services in energy efficiency.

Partnership

GREET would like to implement and market technologies that improve access to clean cooking. GREET works with
communities, schools, and businesses to scale up renewable energy generation
and put local power in the hands of local people. This involves making these solutions commercially viable and affordable for the masses.
