Clean Cooking Activities

Green develops and implements Ethanol Micro Distilleries (EMDs) which produced fuel can be used for safely lighting Clean Cook Stoves. Green is actively present in partnership with Project Gaia in especially vulnerable and energy insecure countries and regions. As an example, it is being conduced the Project in Ogbomosho (Nigeria) in partnership with NABDA and Project Gaia, for the implementation of an EMD plus the distribution of 1.000 CleanCook Stoves, which will benefit more than 1.000 families.

Partnership

While Project Gaia facilitates the access to modern, clean and safe cookstoves, we from Green provide communities with the technology for producing clean alcohol fuels, so they do not become dependent on external market suppliers for meeting their energy needs. This combined solution creates a renewable system for household energy, alleviates the harmful effects of cooking fires and generates a healthier home for families. It also prevents deforestation, reduces carbon emissions and unleashes a series of benefits for local economies.
