Clean Cooking Activities
More than 24 million people in Indonesia use firewood for cooking, a practice that creates household air pollution and contributes to 160,000 deaths per year. Children under five suffer from asthma, lung disease, tuberculosis, and acute respiratory infections as a result of exposure to this pollution. There is a lack of supply of clean cookstoves in the market, and stove manufactures are limited in the country. In addition, many consumers lack knowledge about the performance of clean cookstove technology. We would like to solve this problem by providing access to stoves and biomass fuel for households in Indonesia through our innovative approach that connects stove technology producers, carbon offset institutions, local organizations, and the local users.
Partnership
We would like to exchange and learn about different experiences in delivering clean cookstove technologies.
