Firewood made from mainly sawdust ,groundnut husks, sugarcane barggas, rice husks and conventionally known as “briquettes “our product, branded as KUNI POA (Clean wood in Swahili) is targeted at schools, small industries, hospitals, hotels, and other community institutions over 90% of Tanzanians 40,000+ schools and the majority of rural hospitals and hotels cook and heat water with firewood. Kuni poa offers a healthy and clean cooking solution for institutions such as schools, hotels, hospitals and bakeries. It is nearly smokeless, which reduces health risks for the cooks and students, patients, or customers. One load of Kuni poa lasts for up to 4 hours in an energy saving jiko, so it saves time for the cooks.
Charcoal made from charcoal dust, rice husks and any available agricultural wastes are convened
by adding binder that becomes a charcoal briquette our product branded as MKAA POA. Mkaa poa is targeted to low income people, camps and some institutions. Mkaa poa is smokeless, low carbon emission, high heat, burn four times longer than ordinary charcoal.
