Clean Cooking Activities
Cooking is central to many household activities and without clean burning fuels, the objective of cooking becomes elusive. Our Company intends to produce clean biomass briquettes/pellets meet cooking needs in Kenya and this cannot be achieved without cookstoves which burn will burn the fuels without poisonous emissions to the environment. We aim to partner with GACC to 'Happy and True Cooking' at every poor households. A change in cooking with clean burning fuels in promising stoves increases household love and strengthens a family.
Partnership
Our activities and contribution will anchored on affordable and sustainable clean burning biomass briquettes/pellets production for the clean cook stoves. These fuels will trigger adoption of the clean cook stoves in both urban and rural households to reduce smoke related infections. We also aim to do public demonstrations on cooking with our fuels using clean cook stoves verses the commonly available cook stoves in Kenyan markets today. Just, to give a recent example, we did a training for Youths in Kiandutu Slum in Thika (outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya) and used the briquettes to cook food in a clean cook stoves manufactured by Burns Company, Kenya and the results were impressive. This improved sales the stoves selling under the brand name 'Jiko Koa'.
