Clean Cooking Activities
IIMGC offers financial education, entrepreneurship skills, start-up funds, and start-up mentoring programs for young women in an attempt to reverse the age-old vicious cycle of “low income, low savings, low investment,” into an expanding system of “low income, financial inclusion training, entrepreneurship skills, start-up funds for investment, alternative income mentoring programs for women who are Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), engage in humanitarian investment, and more income. Generating activities” Our guiding principle is to provide opportunity that is sustainable. However, we are interested in assisting in the fight of global warming by improving the environment, most especially by involving women as actors of change. These women are encouraged to participate in re-shaping our world, more especially the IDP’s. We believe that by changing the traditional wood energy to clean energy cookstoves will not only save their lives and improve their total wellbeing we also believe giving them chance to play a role in impacting our world in the key to sustainable development and peace.
Partnership
IIMGC believes in sustainability, hence, all our programs are geared towards a holistic approach to interventions after ascertaining particular needs. Although poverty alleviation is not the only challenge, there are other challenges and issues capable of destroying the norm and unbalance of the way of life; thus this is the sole reason we chose to partner with your organization in many ways, but mostly to increase our experience and knowledge for more in depth project that will yield everlasting results. IIMGC believes that however we may look at poverty is virtually connected in the global problems challenging mankind especially in underprivileged and underdeveloped region, such as conflict affected regions, Internally Displaced Persons (IDP’s). Since poverty and factors bringing it about are interrelated and most times interwoven, solving just a particular problem is not enough but attacking the root of poverty before it spreads its ugly tentacles on the general wellbeing of a society is key. It is also important to join the fight of global warming by promoting women in the IDP's and support Women as Inclusive Business partners through this initiative in addition to that we also improve their access a sustainable livelihood through the BoP Innovation Center (BOPIC) initiative projects, which creates a win-win situations with partners from various sectors. This is why it is imperative we partner with noble organizations such as Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves.
