Clean Cooking Activities
We are interested in the clean cookstoves initiative because our activities are focused mainly on women and girls living in less endowed communities. Women are directly engaged in cooking activities in these communities and their main source of energy is wood and charcoal. This age-old practice has resulted in the desertification of the environment and we are now advocating for alternate energy sources for cooking both for private and commercial purposes and we think the clean cookstoves initiative is a perfect alternative.
Partnership
Our organization intends to partner with you in two main areas:
1. To conduct Advocacy activities on the need to modify cooking methodologies to suit the modern trend which seek to protect the health of women as well as protect the degradation of the environment.
2. To use feedback to formulate appropriate cooking technology which is needed for the design and production of cost-effective and affordable stoves within our operational area (the Volta Region).
We believe this partnership will greatly enhance the realization of our mutual organizational goals.
