Clean Cooking Activities
Our work entails working closely with impact investment funds to advise them on how to structure equity/debt deals with their portfolio companies in the clean cooking arena and whose investment agenda is streamlined with the goals of: firstly, SDG 13 to mitigate climate change and its effects and secondly, the IFC Operating Principles on Impact.
Further, we advise on the legal aspects of portfolio management including actively advising portfolio companies in the clean cooking space.
We also routinely advise SMEs in East Africa operating at the nexus of clean cooking and renewable energy.
Partnership
We can do policy drafting as our Principal Partner has notable experience working as legal counsel of an impact investor in Sub-Saharan Africa. We can also suggest policy checks - whereby we provide system of checks under policies already drafted as well as advise on amendment of existing policies.
We can support grant funded investments that promote clean cooking entrepreneurs, by providing legal advisory and legal solutions to such SMEs in both their set up and subsequent operations in East Africa.
