Gadgil Lab Stoves (GLS), part of LBNL and UC Berkeley, designs and develops low emission, fuel efficient, and culturally viable cookstoves, and also strives to provide rigorous scientific testing of improved stoves to validate potential improvements.

Clean Cooking Activities
Thousands of clean cookstoves designed for internally displaced persons in Darfur by GLS have been distributed through a partnership with Potential Energy. GLS continues to refine this stove design and is also modifying the stove for use in Ethiopia.
