Clean Cooking Activities

Lifebuilders Nigeria has been producing biofuel from Moringa oleifera stems since 2015. This is to ameliorate the burden of cooking with fuel wood by rural poor. In addition, Lifebuilders Nigeria has over fifty (50) acres of Moringa plantation and planning to expand to one hundred and twenty (120) acres by involving rural farmers and creating a network of Moringa farmers in a bid to make the project sustainable.

Furthermore, Lifebuilders has been producing and distributing cookstoves to rural households in Alore Ijaiye Community of Akinyele Local Government Area, Ibadan, Nigeria to enable them buy in to the project and re-orientate them about climate change issues. Over two hundred (200) households currently cook with Moringa biofuel and cookstoves designed and produced by Lifebuilders Nigeria.

Partnership

Lifebuilders Nigeria would want more support for capacity building for rural dwellers and her staff so as to make outreach, advocacy, technology and delivery more efficient. Life builders would also be pleased to partner on manufacturing and improvement of her clean cookstoves.

Furthermore, Lifebuilders encourages afforestation as it expands its raw material base for sustainable production and would therefore like to partner also on carbon financing.
