Clean Cooking Activities
Manna has experience with in-situ sensors, data loggers, and control systems for energy technologies, spanning a range from simple, passive local usage loggers, to large systems that continuously monitor and control hardware, and report that data via cellular networks. In the water sector we are working closely with our partners such as FLOW to report and analyze this data in an open access environment. We also have experience with designing, producing, testing, analyzing and implementing community and household scale high efficiency cookstoves in Rwanda using locally available pumice stone.
Manna is also involved in the carbon finance world, working on the first CDM water project, and having just registered the largest ever Gold Standard project, which will provide over 4 million Kenyans with clean water. This is valuable in terms of developing validation standards to improve access for cookstoves to carbon markets.

MEL would like to contribute our expertise in monitoring, carbon financing and institutional cookstove and appropriate technologies for developing communities.
