Clean Cooking Activities
We are interested in enabling people at the BoP, especially women,, to become more aware of clean cookstoves and their livelihood, health, and environmental benefits. We will support this by engaging in community and media advocacy for our Green Ambassadors (i.e. Training-of-the-Trainers). We will also ensure that cookstoves and biofuels are available at local stores and at affordable prices. We have a microfinance scheme whereby members can own clean cookstoves and pay back in installments. This way, we empower women and youths and also strengthen communal bond.
Partnership
We would like to participate by propagating the message of the Global Alliance for Clean Cooktoves to our urban slums and rural areas. We would ensure inclusiveness at the BoP-level in Oyo State, Nigeria. We would also extend the advocacy to the rest of Nigeria. We would contribute to this partnership by serving as representatives in the urban slums and rural areas in Oyo State and keep them abreast of global developments, as well as ensuring availability of clean cookstoves and biofuels.
