Octate Energies is currently developing OctaGas, a next-generation digital Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) distribution platform. OctaGas leverages IoT-enabled smart meters, PAYGO (Pay-As-You-Go) technology, and a robust sales and inventory management system to automate and optimize the LPG value chain.
Designed for distributors, retailers, and end-users, OctaGas enables real-time tracking, transparent billing, efficient stock management, and remote customer support, while expanding access to clean cooking energy for households and small businesses.

Partnership
Octate Energies is eager to partner with the Clean Cooking Alliance to accelerate the adoption of clean cooking solutions across Southern Africa. Through our flagship innovation, OctaGas, we aim to contribute meaningfully to the Alliance’s mission of enabling access to cleaner, more modern cooking technologies for underserved communities.
Our Contribution to the Partnership:
1. We can work with local LPG distributors and social enterprises to deploy OctaGas-enabled PAYGO systems, expanding last-mile access.
2. We offer real-time usage, affordability, and customer behavior data to inform policy, financing, and impact measurement.
3. We will support training for local distributors and technicians on digital tools, PAYGO operations, and IoT system maintenance.
4. With presence and partners in Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa, we are well-positioned to scale regionally with the Alliance’s support.
