The main goal of reStove is to improve the long-term health and strength of families and women, with a sustainable cook stove that can be self-manufactured and managed, and allows opportunities for business. Clean Cooking Activities

We want to introduce cleaner, healthier, safer and energy efficient ovens and stoves into areas and environments suffering from the adverse effects of open flame an simple stove technology. We also want to create awareness of the harmful effects of indoor biomass burning and greater emphasis on socio-economic development in local communities. By educating locals on how to self-manufacture and utilize better stoves, we seek to provide greater opportunity for the benefit of local business and industry, community prosperity, social advancement and quality life.

Partnership

First of all, our project pursues the same goal as the Alliance to improve the health of many Indians by implementing clean cook stoves.
Furthermore we will share our experience of the projects with the other partners and at the same time receive precious input that helps our project to develop further. It will support us especially in our current research process of improving our stove.
Part of our concept is to help spreading awareness of severe health issues caused by Indoor Air Pollution in India, one of the most concerned countries. By conducting Awareness Workshops and implementing clean cook stoves in the affected areas, we contribute in achieving the overall aim of the adoption of clean cook stoves in 100 million households by 2020.
Last but not least, it is also our mission to empower women which is a matter close to our heart. We want to introduce locals, especially women, to the production of stoves and entrepreneurship. We believe in their enormous potential and want to support them by equipping them with the knowledge they need.
We are already looking forward to sharing our experience with other partners and getting insight in the existing implementations of clean cook stoves worldwide.
