Clean Cooking Activities
Pivot supports smart policy and standards development and harmonization efforts to enable productive regulation that supports business. We also participate in conferences and awareness building events, improving market intelligence, shaping public opinion, and fostering investment. Pivot catalyzes funding to support early stage bioethanol enterprises, and development organizations in developing markets, while strengthening the supply infrastructure (e.g. production, transport, storage, and trade) of bioethanol to meet household energy demands.
Partnership
Pivot is dedicated to working to improve bioethanol access for clean cooking globally. We partner through capacity building, and providing standards and policy support for government and private sector to develop enabling regulatory environments. We assist in advocacy and education around bioethanol cooking and adjacent sector benefits, and also provide small grant funding, as well as procure grants on behalf of bioethanol operators to help scale businesses. Pivot also engages and aligns the bioethanol and agricultural industries with the broader clean cooking strategy and opportunity, and supports the health community to further advance education and research around the positive health benefits from cooking with bioethanol.
