Power Practical
Mission
Power Practical makes® the PowerPot - a cooking pot which generates electricity while heating water over any heat source.® We want to help people in emerging markets generate their own electricity, and improve indoor air quality by helping families replace their kerosene lanterns with LED lighting systems.®
The PowerPot works best with a hot, direct heat source - like that provided by many clean cookstoves. We are are interested in exploring a partnership with clean cookstove organizations to develop a product which serves the needs of those living in rural Africa, Asia, and South America and encourages the use of clean cookstoves.

Clean Cooking Activities
We are currently working on a number of product tests in Africa and India, including a long-term project with the Interethnic Health Alliance in rural Uganda to test the PowerPot as a method of generating daily electricity. ® ®
Partnership
We are willing to share what we've learned about developing testing/distribution partnerships, regional consumer preferences, and designing a product to fit the needs of users. ® ®
Additionally, we believe that our product will encourage the use/adoption of clean cookstoves because the PowerPot creates the highest energy output when it is used with a hot, focused heat source - like that created by most cookstoves.®
Even if a formal partnership isn't likely to materialize, we're happy to speak with people/organizations who are interested in what we are doing or feel they could learn from us (or are willing to teach us what you've learned).®
