Provide direct patient care—reconstructive surgery and integrated care services—to those with no other resources.
Provide educational training and medical interchange.
Assist host-country medical colleagues toward medical independence.

Clean Cooking Activities
ReSurge and International Medical Corps are partnering to save lives and create a safer world with a 360-approach to burns. It is the first major NGO partnership to address the global crisis of burns with prevention, training, treatment and advocacy.
Burns are a solvable global crisis and cookstoves are a key component of a comprehensive solution. 50% of the burns we see are because of open flames/cooking. Our prevention programs will include education & partnerships with new technologies sectors.
In addition, we are launching ReThink Burns, a campaign to raise awareness of the hidden health crisis of burns.
Partnership
ReSurge provides 2,200 burn surgeries annually in 13 developing countries. Together with IMC, we will address the burn crisis with prevention, training, treatment and advocacy, beginning with pilot program in Nepal targeting 20,000 underserved people.
We would like to provide expertise, research & advocacy on burns to help make fire-safety and a reduction of burn injuries achievable goals.
