Rural Digital Media (U) Limited was born out of the need to reach out to the peri-urban and rural markets. This was informed by the tempo of development accelerating in peri –urban and rural markets in Uganda and East Africa in general and this is coupled with increase in purchasing power, changing life styles and consumption pattern of villagers.
Therefore with the fast tricking of development in rural areas, the rural communities are still faced with low levels of rural electricity access. Rural Digital media therefore is desirous of promoting usage of various efficient and affordable sources of energy or technologies to rural communities through forging of viable distribution paths in rural markets in Uganda.
Rural Digital Media U Limited intends to dwell on their grassroots experience in reaching the rural customer, behavior change communication strategies and below the line experiential marketing tactics by promoting purchase and consistent use of clean and efficient cook stoves in rural markets and more specifically targeting households.
