The mission of REDO is to empower the poor communities especially the Historically Marginalized People to actively participate in improving their livelihood conditions by working towards poverty eradication and improving food security and access to markets that provides poor women and men opportunities for economic and social advancement whilst in parallel instilling on environment protection from grass roots, through a participatory sustainable approach.

Clean Cooking Activities

Over 20 years old, REDO has been involved in clean cooking sub sector in Rwanda. Over 90,000 improved cook stoves were distributed in Kirehe, Ngomba, Rwamagana, Nyagatare districts in eastern province and Rusizi district in Western province of Rwanda. At the same time, environmental and clean cooking awareness campaigns are usually conducted across the country.

Partnership

REDO willingly to partner with clean cooking Alliance and other relevant institutions to promote and enhance the clean cooking initiatives while supporting the Alliance, country and global commitments to achieve relevant targets towards clean energy, climate change mitigation and adaptation and resilient livelihood.
