Mission
SMEFUNDS’ Green Energy & Biofuels is a social enterprise promoting safer and cleaner ethanol gel with a unique patented Cookstoves. We engage enterprise solutions to attempt new approaches to fighting poverty through the promotion of sustainable enterprise development. SMEFUNDS- GEbiofuels has successfully launched one of the largest and fastest growing cellulosic ethanol production and clean cooking programmes in Africa.
We provide clean, low-cost alternatives to kerosene and other dangerous cooking fuels to nearly a million homes in Africa

Clean Cooking Activities
Green Energy & Biofuels (GEB) mission is to provide low-cost, clean, and safe Bio Ethanol Energy for households at the bottom of the economic pyramid and as transport fuel. The organisation has successfully launched one of the largest and fastest growing Bio Ethanol for domestic and lighting programmes in Africa. This was accomplished through a horizontal integrated business model that dramatically reduces costs in both manufacturing and distribution. By creatively using social marketing thereby economically empowering independent distributors, no other initiative has been more effective at lifting them out of poverty while concurrently fighting climate change.
Through Carbon Credit Network, A peer to Peer Mentor led initiative, we provide low cost, clean and safe Energy (Lighting & Cook Stoves) for low income households while creatively using applied social marketing, distributes Carbon Credit Earnings to empower her independent distributors economically; thus lifting them out of poverty and fighting Climate Change in Africa.
Partnership
SMEFUNDS as a partner with the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves, will contribute our experiences, knowledge and skills acquired during the implementation projects in the communities we work in. We look forward to a full participation in the promotion of clean cookstoves.
In the next 5 years, we will create additional 4,000 direct jobs and over 500,000 indirect jobs, with women prominently engaged on the project and improve the quality of health of up to 10 million Nigerian households.
We target to reach 5 million Nigerians switched to Kike Green Stoves and using Biofuel Ethanol Gel for their cooking.
