Clean Cooking Activities
Our Clean cooking initiative aligns well with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).Our Clean cooking initiate is a huge boosts to our people especially the refugees and the internally displaced people who are most vulnerable in our communities the ones affected by dirty fossil fuels as a result of unclean cooking. Our technology is a high quality cookstove with a powered fun to create an efficient combustion it is safer than traditional cook stove which uses charcoal that produces toxic flames. In the past we have made considerable steps in the clean cooking sector by partnering with UNDP, Puntland Environment Ministry among others to produce cookstoves that use charcoal and has less smoke. This however has not solved the problem; we have only reduced it as the use of charcoal is still expensive to the refugees and idps and also detrimental to our environment and health of our people.
Partnership
We are extremely confident that this partnership will come in handy for Somalia women and girls who spend considerable amount of time in the kitchen cooking instead they need to spend more time doing other activities.We hope that this opportunity will open up our companies chances to a global level and to funding and more partnerships in order to expand our production capacity to eventually meet the demands of clean cooking solution in entire Somalia.We shall contribute to this partnership by ensuring that the goals and aspirations of Clean Cooking Alliance are met where they cant reach physically. We look forward to a more secure Somali kitchen through provision of funds and/or enabling environment to access funds through our interaction with World Bank and other donors. As we enter into a new decade we envision a Somalia where cooking doesn’t kill.
