Clean Cooking Activities
TED has been working since 2004 in promoting use of Clean Cookstoves of different types depending on affordability for the target group reducing the rate of harvesting wood which leads to soil erosion and environmental degradation. TED also promotes Clean Cookstoves for reduction of indoor air pollution. TED therefore provide Environmental Education for the public to learn sustainable use of energy resources without damaging the environment.
Partnership
TED will continue to disseminate education on environmental conservation, biomass conservation and disseminating of clean energy stoves to rural population who rely on biomass for heating and cooking yet have no knowledge of alternatives. TED ensures that through micro-finance, rural women who are bound to do the cooking acquire clean cookstoves to reduce their burden of spending lots of time gathering wood.
