Clean Cooking Activities

Terra Global's has two of the World's only three VCS validated and Verified REDD+ programs which are also tagged as Triple Gold CCB verified which demonstrates the highest community, biodiversity and adaptation benefits are being generated by the project. Both of these projects implemented fuel efficient cookstoves. In the Kulera Landscape REDD+ Program, low-cost, easy to build cookstoves were distributed to every household (65,000) in the project zone which supports and compliments the REDD+ activities by reducing fuelwood consumption and increases energy efficiency. In addition, Cookstoves production serves as a local enterprise for community members.

Partnership

Terra Global would like to share its experience of implementation of cookstoves as a way to improve livelihoods and reduce deforestation and degradation in some of the world's least developed nations. We believe that our expertise in greenhouse gas accounting, project design and monitoring and evaluation will be an asset to the partnerships within the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves.
