Clean Cooking Activities

TERRE Policy Centre in association with Persistant Systems celebrated Earth Day in a remote village in Mulashi, Pune, India by distributing solar table lamps for students. Uravade, Kolwade, Mutha, Varekarwadi, Vegrewadi, Kharwade and Mandavkhedkar are the remote villages in Mulashi that have less population and infrastructure. Electricity and water shortages are acute problems for the villagers. Children, however, have courage to learn despite the difficulties of communication and travel because they wants to learn. Thus, TERRE Policy Centre seeks to foster and support the students' desire for learning through solar lighting.

Sarpanch of Urawade, Manisha Tapsvi - Persistant Systems, Dileep Kale - Trustee Persistant foundation, Uma Mane, Nathalie Renouardand Vinitaa Apte, president TERRE were present for the function.

Partnership

TERRE shuns from pointing fingers, but promotes holding hands, to find solutions and catalyze action.

TERRE offers citizens – from every walk of life – a platform to explore new thoughts and new common ground through consultations, studies, projects, and online content. The paradigm of good governance and precincts of best practices and definitions of sustainability are constantly shifting and often confusing. TERRE believes that it is only the participatory process, ‘by the people for the people and of the people’, that can lead us to actions towards a sustainable world.
