Clean Cooking Activities
Turning Point Magazine is a quarterly African publication dedicated to amplifying grassroots voices and showcasing innovative, life-changing solutions across the continent. As a media platform committed to health, environmental sustainability, and community development, we are particularly interested in clean cookstoves and eco-friendly fuels as part of our broader mission to inspire behavior change and support local transformation. Our interest in this area is driven by the urgent need to address the harmful effects of traditional cooking methods, which continue to pose serious health risks due to indoor air pollution, contribute to environmental degradation through deforestation, and disproportionately burden women and girls with time-consuming household labor.
Partnership
We recognize that clean cooking solutions, such as those promoted by EcoBurn and supported by the Clean Cooking Alliance, are essential for improving health outcomes, advancing gender equity, and promoting climate resilience. Turning Point Magazine is keen to collaborate with organizations in the clean energy sector to document and share impact stories, raise awareness through targeted media campaigns, and facilitate intergenerational dialogue on sustainable practices. By leveraging our print and digital platforms, we aim to amplify community voices, showcase local innovations, and advocate for the adoption and scale-up of clean cookstove technologies. Through storytelling and strategic communication, we seek to be a catalyst for change, helping communities across Africa embrace cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable cooking practices.
