Clean Cooking Activities
Sustainable Energy Technology And Research Centre (SeTAR Centre) focusses on the domestic energy requirements of developing countries including lighting, cooking and space heating. SeTAR is located in the Research Village in the Bunting Road Campus of the Univ of Johannesburg. It has stove prototyping, fabrication and testing capabilities and is a regional stove testing centre for the GACC. SeTAR Staff are active in the development of test protocols and compulsory national standards for domestic stoves.
