Mission
Wa-PYDO’s mission is to bring about lasting positive changes for youth and women in the poorest and most marginalized pastoralist communities in Ethiopia. Working with local communities, government and development partners as well as drawing strength from our organizational diversity, resources and experience, we promote innovative solutions to address economic and social injustices and inequalities amongst the most marginalized women and youth in pastoral areas of the country.

Clean Cooking Activities
Wa-PYDO initiated charcoal briquette production by using waste materials (chatt) and prosopis jufelie branches, while training youth.
Wa-PYDO is interested in enhancing its trails briquette production on a larger scale, while providing safety and affordable and climate friendly systems to increase access to cooking materials, e.g briquettes.
Partnership
Wa-PYDO will be participating in this partnership, at the ground project implementation and scaling up phases by making pre-tested briquettes and increasing the number of people using briquettes as cooking materials. Wa-PYDO will contribute to the objectives of the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves.
