ADVOCACY CENTRE carries out activities on different thematic areas including environment, livelihoods & indigenous rights; climate action, renewable energy and forest conservation; human rights and peace-building; campaign against oil theft, artisanal refining and pollution; research, education and empowerment; gender, maternal health and sanitation; youths and non-violence advocacy; research and training; anti-corruption and good governance!

Clean Cooking Activities
In one of our thematic advocacy areas: CLIMATE ACTION, RENEWABLE ENERGY & FOREST CONSERVATION, we carry out activities on renewable energy to discourage dependence on hydrocarbon products that contribute to environmental pollution and cause climate change. We thus build capacity community and promote lean development mechanism, youths and women empowerment through renewable energy sources including solar, clean cooking stove, use of biomas, etc. We organize training workshops in communities and states across the Niger Delta region to create awareness and build the capacity of youths and women on alternative livelihoods renewable energy for youths and women engaged in acts of oil theft and artisanal refining in the Niger Delta as alternative means of livelihood for environmental sustainability.
Partnership
Advocacy Centre would like to partner with Clean Cooking Alliance for sensitization about clean stove, its distribution to community women and capacity building around renewable energy across communities in the Niger Delta. YEAC would contribute to the works on CCA in awareness creation, distribution of Clean Cooking Stove, capacity building and information sharing on this and related areas.
