Aminata Wurie
Government Affairs Lead, Sierra Leone
Aminata Wurie is the Government Affairs Lead for the Clean Cooking Alliance in Sierra Leone. In this role, she focuses on integrating clean cooking solutions into Sierra Leone’s development agenda by fostering partnerships across government, the private sector, and development institutions. Aminata is a policy and governance expert with over 14 years of experience in public sector reforms, multi-stakeholder engagement, and strategic partnerships in Sierra Leone. Previously, Aminata served as a Program Specialist at UNDP Sierra Leone, where she led key governance initiatives, including the Strategic Roadmap for public service reform and the National Civic Education Policy. She also played a pivotal role in public sector modernization, working with the Vice President’s Office to establish the Sierra Leone National Investment Board. Her collaborations with UN agencies such as UNFPA and UNICEF highlight her ability to bridge high-level policy with community impact. Aminata is a Fulbright Scholar with a Master’s in International Policy and Development from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies (USA) and an MBA from IPAM, University of Sierra Leone.
