Our Team

Jessica Vargas Escobedo is the Senior Climate Associate for the Clean Cooking Alliance (CCA). She assists in managing the provision of technical expert guidance and support to country governments and carbon market stakeholders through the Clean Cooking & Climate Consortium (4C). Jessica is originally from Mexico and holds a Master of Science in Sustainability Management. Prior to obtaining her Master’s degree and joining CCA, she served as an intern for the Environment Affairs team at the United Nations Environment Programme. She also worked as a Research Assistant at the Earth Institute at Columbia University, helping to examine the social and environmental impacts of natural protected areas across Africa and Latin America. In her free time, Jessica enjoys traveling and painting.
