Koen Peters
Business Development Officer, Dutch Fund for Climate and Development, SNV
Koen Peters works for the Dutch Fund for Climate and Development (DFCD), a €440m fund supporting climate adaptation and mitigation projects benefiting vulnerable communities and landscapes. He represents both SNV and WWF, who jointly manage DFCD's Origination Facility, and leads business development within both organizations on investment facilitation for climate resilience. Prior to this, Koen was the Executive Director of GOGLA, the association for the off-grid solar energy industry. Koen is a strong advocate of making market solutions work for public goals.
Throughout his 30+ year career, Koen has been active in various private and public sector roles to support sustainable and green business development, with a specific interest in climate change. He holds a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from Wageningen Agricultural University and an International Master of Business Administration from University Nyenrode and Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University, USA).
